Application process
If a community member needs their passport in two weeks or less, they should call the National Passport Information Center (1-877-487-2778) to make an appointment at the Arkansas Passport Center in Hot Springs in order to get their passport processed in time.Applications are accepted ONLY at the Laman Library (2801 Orange Street, North Little Rock, AR 72114).Passport services do not take appointments.Applicants are taken on a first-come, first-serve basis.All applicants must appear in person in order to have their application processed.Applicants under the age of 16 must have both parents or guardians present.Community members should have their application form(s) completely filled out prior to entering the application office. They may be asked to step out and complete the application while other customer applications are processed.A community member may wish to call (501) 404-2937 before making the trip to the library (especially on the weekends) to ask about possible wait times to be seen by an agent. If the wait is very long, Passport services may not be able to get to a community member that day. Saturdays are usually busy. One should arrive as close to opening (9:00am) as possible.The application office closes 1 hour prior to the library closing. This is to give the passport agent time to finish assisting any customer still in the office and to prepare the received applications for mailing the next morning.If community members are applying through the library (they send it in), they will take photos for free at their location. If a community member only needs photos and no processing, they will provide photos for $5.00.

Program accepts and processes United States Passport and Passport Card applications. Community members are served on a first-come, first-served basis. Payment (per application):Routine Applications: Passport BookCheck or Money Order for $130 (adults, age 16 and up) to the U.S. Department of State ($100 for minors, under age 16) Check, cash, debit, credit card for $35 to Laman Library for processing fee.Routine Applications: Passport CardCheck or Money Order for $30 (adults, age 16 and up) to the U.S. Department of State ($15 for minors, under age 16) Check, cash, debit, credit card for $35 to Laman Library for processing fee.Expedited Applications: Passport BookOne check or money order for $190 (adults) to the U.S. Department of State ($160 for minors, under age 16) One check, cash, debit, credit card for $35 to Laman Library for processing fee. NOTE: Applicant must bring two separate forms of payment: one for the U.S. Department of State and one for Laman Library.Expedited Applications: Passport CardOne check or money order for $90 (adults) to the U.S. Department of State ($75 for minors, under age 16) One check, cash, debit, credit card for $35 to Laman Library for processing fee.
