The 2-1-1 hotline is a nationwide program that connects callers to a trained representative who is familiar with the resources available in its service area. Instead of multiple calls leading to dead ends, people can make one call to 2-1-1 and reach a specialist who assesses a caller's full scope of needs and matches them to the right services.
