County Veteran Service Officers (CVSO) provide assistance to Veterans, Veteran's Families, and Surviving Family Members, with a local information resource to contact in person for assistance with Veterans Administration Benefits Request. Additional, Local CVSOs assist local governments and officials with veteran public relations, memorials, and federal program updates to benefits that affect Veterans in their area of responsibility. Primarily, the CVSO is the counties primary contact resource for assistance with veterans in need of assistance with homelessness, financial hardship, immediate emergent VA resources, and burial benefits for Veterans with no none surviving relatives.
