One may be eligible if one receives benefits from any of the following programs: Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (Food Stamps or SNAP) Medicaid Supplemental Security Income (SSI) Federal Public Housing Assistance (Section 8) Veterans Pension and Survivor's Benefit Bureau of Indian Affairs General Assistance (BIA) Tribally Administered Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (Tribal TANF) Tribal Head Start (only those households meeting its income qualifying standard) Food Distribution Program on Indian Reservations (FDPIR)One may also qualify if Total Household Income is at or under 135% of the Federal Poverty Guidelines

This benefit provides eligible consumers with a monthly discount to their plans. Some providers also provide cell phones, please call your local company for information.Those interested must apply for Lifeline and then sign up with a participating phone or internet company, recertify annually, and keep their information up to date.
