The Closet represents a collection of resource initiatives that meet the needs of teens in NWA.Teens in need are also referred year-round by counselors and social workers for one-time needs of clothing hygiene items school supplies

On July 29th, 2023 Altrusa International of Washington County will be hosting a back to school event to provide backpacks filled with school supplies to children in Prairie Grove and Greenland, Arkansas.In addition to the school supplies, which are first come first serve, there will be a personal care bag, a snack bag, free books, and a box of shelf-stable food provided to the families.The event will be held from 9am-11am at Prairie Grove Elementary School, where free pastries are provided, and then from 11am-1pm at Greenland Middle School where a free sack lunch will be available.

Program conducts an annual nationwide school supply collection and distribution.

Provides school supplies to single parents and grandparents with school age children. Please see website for dates and information.
