Program also includes information about the different types of adoption available, as well as guidance on selecting an adoption agency, understanding the legal process, and preparing for a successful adoption. Additionally, the program provides information about the services and support available to adoptive families in Arkansas.

The 24-hour crisis hotline provides support and direction for parents and providers regarding the Safe Haven law, including Safe Surrender locations, adoption resources and parenting support. The National Safe Haven Alliance also can provide direct resources to assist and prevent infant abandonment. The crisis hotline, (888) 510-2229, is staffed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, by social workers, nurses, and paramedics that have received comprehensive training and are able to support and assist parents and providers.
