Program provides information and assistance to clients who contact. Program will connect an Information and Assistance Specialist. The specialist will discuss the situation with the client right then over the phone and if needed will make an appointment for clients with a personal Care Coordinator. The specialist will schedule a time to assess the clients needs and determine the programs and services that would best fit.The personal Care Coordinator will work with the client throughout the process and may refer to the client to other resources and services as needed.

Program familiarizes the young and young-at-heart about elections, the State Capitol, Arkansas history and citizenship. This information is provided through a variety of formats, from websites, events and publications to guided tours, exhibits and travelling presentations. The department coordinates programs such as Young Voters Workshops and teacher in-service workshops, as well as quarterly exhibits at the Capitol that showcase Arkansas-related themes.Communications & Education staff support the Secretary of State's other divisions through creative services such as photography, print production and event planning. Major programs of the department include voter outreach campaigns, civics education materials and the Capitol Lighting Ceremony held each December. Provides a program that advises claimants regarding Federal and State benefits and assists with preparation of forms and securing the necessary supporting evidence. Completed forms are forwarded to the Arkansas Department of Veterans Affairs for presentation of the claim to the appropriate board or official of the agency involved.
