This program works in partnership with different courts throughout the State of Arkansas to provide offenders of certain crimes with an alternative to incarceration. It is based on the belief that treatment and/or education is a more effective solution than incarceration and uses a Recovery Coach approach to help clients manage mental health and substance use issues by using Acceptance Commitment Therapy. It provides case management to help offenders and assists with gainful employment, safe housing, and transportation.

Active Parenting of Teens is a six-session course offered to parents which encourages parents to adopt skills needed to resolve family conflicts, reduce discipline problems, and promote confidence and self-esteem in their children. Program emphasizes work as the first step toward building a brighter future. Through training, education and work activities, individuals are guided to become self-sufficient. This federally funded program provides time-limited cash assistance to needy families with (or expecting) children. In addition, TEA furnishes parents with work training and other supportive services they need in order to attain permanent self-sufficiency. The TEA program also provides assistance to children being cared for by non-parental guardians. Financial assistance is based on family size, income, resources and the ages of the children. Time-limited support is provided with a variety of supportive services while moving individuals back into the labor market.

The program is operated by certified volunteers and allows clients the opportunity to file and direct deposit their tax refund for free and ensure proper tax credits are utilized.NOTE: Beginning in 2017, a new law requires the IRS to hold refunds on tax returns claiming the Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC) or the Additional Child Tax Credit (ACTC) until mid-February. Under the change required by Congress in the Protecting Americans from Tax Hikes (PATH) Act, the IRS must hold the entire refund--even the portion not associated with the EITC and ACTC--until at least February 15. Program is a partnership between the two legal aid agencies serving the state of Arkansas. It provides free legal assistance to people impacted by substance use disorder (SUD) navigating civil, not criminal, legal issues. Although the grant funding is limited to rural counties, Legal Aid of Arkansas provides services under other grants for urban counties, as well. Farmers markets are available for SNAP benefits as well as eligible retailers. In addition to food assistance, the program provides SNAP recipients with nutrition education, employment and training, and work experience in some cases.Call (800) 997-9999 toll-free, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to: Report a lost, stolen or damaged EBT card.
