Community Living Arrangement | United Cerebral Palsy of Arkansas

Community Living Arrangement

Community Living Arrangement (CLA) is available for individuals who qualify for an intermediate level of care, where they can live in a smaller home-like setting. UCP provides training in areas such as self-care, daily living skills, money management, and community safety/survival skills. Individuals also benefit from recreational and leisure activities with the facility staff.

Supported Living Apartment Program

Program provides a carefully balanced framework of home environment, specialized professional services, and a gradual decrease of supervision to encourage self-respect, responsible judgment, and practical life exzperiences. Qualified staff is on-call twenty-four (24) hours per day and provide guidance and training in basic life skills focusing upon normalization and independent living skills during the waking hours.Progress is monitored with the development of an individualized program plan and through measurable outcomes that teach self development, decision making, and home management skills.Each complex has an office, laundry facilities, and a Community Room. The individual lives in a private apartment with rent assistance. The resident must possess personal skills to enable self-sufficiency. Program provides some daily living and skills training.

Mercy Crest Assisted Living provides quality care to the elderly or disabled residents who reside on the beautiful 20 acre campus in Barling Arkansas. With 102 private apartments, including one bedroom, two bedroom and studio, where residents are free to decorate with their own furniture, photos, and keepsakes making it a home.Mercy Crest provides round the clock licensed nursing and certified nurse's assistants to ensure residents have the best care.The Director of Clinical Care performs resident health assessments, develops resident service plans and collaborates with the care team to manage chronic health conditions.Our clinical staff assists residents with medication administration, coordinating care with their physicians and home health providers, provides support with activities of daily life and maintaining independence. We have a Restorative Nursing Program that allows residents to remain active and safe in their home.Mercy Crest has a wide variety of recreational activities including Bingo, Bean Bag Baseball, movie nights, Shuffleboard, various card and board games, outings and holiday parties. Our Dietary Manager and staff, provide three wonderfully prepared restaurant quality meals each day. Holiday meals and parties are especially exciting events.
